Qualifying Tournaments for Mexican Players Scheduled at El Cardonal October 7-9 |
|
Leading up to the World Wide Technology Championship, El Cardonal Golf Course in Diamante is set to welcome the best Mexican players for the Clasificatorio Mexicano presented by National Car Rental on October 7 and the Mexico Match Play October 8-9.
Both events are exclusively for Mexican players and are part of the WWT Championship's commitment to support golf in Mexico, and Mexican professional and amateur players who aspire to compete at the highest levels in golf.
Clasificatorio Mexicano presented by National Car Rental (October 7)
- This 27-hole stroke play event will grant the first exemption to the tournament winner. Open exclusively to Mexican professionals and amateurs, the top finisher earns a direct spot in the WWT Championship.
Mexico Match Play (October 8-9)
- Following the Mexican Qualifier, the golfers who finish in positions 2 through 17 will advance to the Mexico Match Play. This two-day, direct elimination tournament will see 16 players compete, with the winner securing another exemption to the WWT Championship.
Celebrating its 18th year, the World Wide Technology Championship is proud to conduct these events to showcase the event’s commitment to providing various avenues for talented Mexican golfers to compete on the PGA TOUR.

Monday Open Qualifier Slated for November 4 in Los Cabos |
|
The last remaining spots in the World Wide Technology Championship’s 120-player field will be decided at the Monday Open Qualifier on November 4. Hosted at the Arroyo-Mountain Course at Palmilla Golf Club, this 18-hole stroke play event will feature approximately 72 players. The top four finishers will earn their places in the prestigious tournament.
In collaboration with the PGA TOUR and PGA Southern California Section, the qualifier is open to both professional and amateur players of all nationalities who meet specific handicap requirements. Those without exemptions must first compete in pre-qualifiers, which will take place in Southern California on October 30 and 31, and in Los Cabos on November 1.
