As springtime takes hold, the golf world's attention turns to A Tradition Unlike Any Other. The Masters tournament is set for this weekend in Augusta, Ga., and five of our past champions are in the field. Austin Eckroat, Russell Henley, Viktor Hovland, Patton Kizzire and Harris English each earned invitations through different criteria.

Good luck to our champs as they tee it up at Augusta National for the year’s first Major Championship. Be sure to tune in and watch this weekend!

First Tee of Diamante Participates in Pacific Regional Tournament

Congratulations to the First Tee of Diamante and 11 of its participants who recently traveled to Mexicali, Baja California, to participate in the Zona Pacifico Regional Tour Championship for junior golfers ages 18 and under.

Each of the 11 players teed it up in their age division and represented the First Tee and Diamante admirably. Thanks to the support of several Diamante members and homeowners and the First Tee’s leadership, the junior golfers were able to enjoy an incredible experience as they competed on such a stage for the first time in their junior golf careers. Their participation and success is a testament to the great work being done by the Diamante chapter of the First Tee, which the World Wide Technology Championship is honored to support.

The trip was an overwhelming success for all with truly unforgettable memories, but particularly for three players who competed successfully and earned their way to the National Interzonas Championship, which will be held in May in Veracruz. Camila Carrafiello Gutierrez, Luis Angel Gomez Madariaga and Fátima Zoe Granados Merin, from the girls and boys 8-9 and girls 10-11 age groups, each successfully qualified to represent the Pacific Zone at the national tournament.

Congratulations!

Tyler Weaver of Florida State Earns Exemption as Individual Winner of the 2025 Cabo Collegiate

As is tradition, the best college golfers descended on Los Cabos last month for the annual Cabo Collegiate. The tournament featured one of the strongest fields of participants in all of college golf and once again an exemption to the WWT Championship was on the line for the individual medalist.

Following 54 holes of stroke play competition, three players were tied for first place at 8-under par. On the first hole of a sudden-death playoff, Tyler Weaver of Florida State claimed the victory. On the challenging 18th hole where the field averaged over par all week, Weaver was the only player to make his putt for par in the playoff, securing his spot in the field at Diamante this November here in Los Cabos.

Widely regarded as one of college golf’s premier tournaments, the Cabo Collegiate was held for the third consecutive year at Twin Dolphin Club in Los Cabos. The WWT Championship is proud to support college golf.
